I'm going to buy Pearl Jam's new self titled album when my flu has finally gone. I've read reviews both good and bad, but I just have to hear this one as I loved (still love) their early '90's stuff. Razz

I wonder if the band's sound has matured at the same rate as Eddie's pretty face.... Question

At the moment I am listening to Susan Boyle...not my usual listening material but after hearing her single 'Wild Horses' on the radio and liking it (not knowing who it was singing) thought I would listen to the album, and for easy listening type music it is OK...Rock On SuBo Rock On

Did buy a couple of CD's today at a CD sale in Southwold, a live Jefferson Airplane album Feed Your Head from 67-69 and Dvorak's Symphony No.9 'New World' played by the Vienna State Opera Orchestra...so after SuBo finishes I have got some interesting music to listen too Cool

She does indeed do a good version, dispite all the talk a few months ago i never heard what she sounded like unlit they played that track on the radio and i also was unaware of who it was until afterwards, now i know what all the fuss was about, lived up to the hype in my opinion.
However i wont be buying her album, lol

Been listening to the Porcupine Tree.. this cds growing on me only think i dislike is all the silly voice effects.. which im never a fan of.. im hopeing its only on this album. (dunno its title is got some blue face on the front and looks a bit fighting to be honest)

First I've hard of that,, theres no news in their official web site.
I was under the impression 'God is a bullet' (2007) will be the last one, they ain't touring anymore.

Ah DUM DUM BULLET "compilation of rare B-sides, previously unreleased demos, new songs left over from the God Is a Bullet sessions and a brand-new dance remix of album cut “Dumb”

Not quite an album, but theses could be good songs, despite the split in 2008 no doubt they will make a proper album again.. they keep doing it lol

Now listened to the new album by Charlotte Gainsbourg which is pretty good, as was the previous one.
But I've just noticed she was the daughter of Serge.. lol i didn't make that connects until recently, and I've had his Histoire de Melody Nelson album for a few years.. (not really a fan but i liked that cd)

Strange how things seem to o connect even if you didn't know it.
